To get you started, you'll need your heart rate monitor. iCardio makes it easy to add an iHR3 heart rate monitor, and also has some other heart rate trackers that you can use as a heart rate monitor. If you don't have an iHR3 or similar heart rate monitor, you can still start using the app without a heart rate monitor.

iCardio has a lot of different activities you can track on a daily basis. Each activity has its own profile so you can check out your data and find out how often and how many steps you walk or bike per day, the average heart rate, or other health and fitness information for that activity. It's easy to get to know your exercise patterns.

You will be guided through all exercises, and for each activity, you'll find its associated goal. You can change that goal to achieve a more challenging goal and lose weight. Each activity also has its own time and distance tracking for you to measure your progress. The longer you stay in an activity, the more the app will measure your progress.
